Over 6,000 businesses and more than 29,000 employees across the North of England have accessed fully funded training thanks to Workplace Learning, creating significant benefits to the economy.
Results from an independent evaluation into the £35m project managed by Calderdale College, on behalf of the West Yorkshire Consortium of Colleges, revealed that training has exceeded employees’ expectations and their confidence in their ability to learn has improved considerably, confirming the project’s extensive success for employees and businesses alike.
Skill levels in the workplace have developed and the day to day running of the businesses has improved, and one of the most staggering findings show that for every £1 of funding claimed, £22 worth of economic contribution will be generated, higher than the national average amount.
