About the Leeds City Region Skills Network

We are a network of further education colleges, universities, private and voluntary sector skills providers and employability providers. Managed by the West Yorkshire Consortium of Colleges and funded by the European Social Fund.

Working with you, working with your organisation

Through our members we work to meet the needs of employers and the Leeds City Region economy by providing access to skills and training.

Largest economy outside London

Leeds is the largest centre outside London for financial and business services, digital, creative, publishing and broadcasting. It has the second highest concentration of knowledge intensive jobs and is the third largest manufacturing centre by local authority area.

Over 1.4 million people are employed in the region, which includes Bradford, Calderdale, Craven, Harrogate, Kirklees, Leeds, Selby, York and Wakefield.

Through this unique collaboration our members are well placed to offer a wide range of solutions to suit all skills needs.

In April 2011, representatives from further education colleges, universities and private and voluntary sector skills providers came together to form the Leeds City Region Skills Network.

Meeting the needs of employers
