The role of the human resources professional has become advisory and guidance rather than “hands on” in many businesses with the expectation that managers at all levels implement the policies and procedures as an integral part of managing their staff. It covers:
- Recruitment and selection (including responsibilities under the Equality Act)
- Managing absence, including the return to work interview
- Discipline and Grievance
- Managing performance – both good performance and under performance
There is no formal assessment for this course.
If your organisation is based in North Yorkshire it must be working in one of the following sectors to be eligible for funding through The Skills Service: manufacturing (except food), transport and logistics, digital and creative, business and finance, medical technology or retail.
