This course is aimed at new and existing first line managers and supervisors who wish to develop or refresh their leadership and management skills.

The following areas will be covered under this course; however the content can be tailored to meet specific needs of the business:

- Identifying the skills and attributes a first line manager/supervisor needs to bring to the workplace

- Understanding the role of the first line manager/supervisor

- The qualities of managers and differing management styles and recognising your own

- Adapting your management style to suit your team

- Identifying what motivates staff

- Recognising effective methods of communication to motivate and maintain engagement in your team and throughout the business
